I took this from our balcony in Maritime Terrace just before the fog lifted over the harbour bridge – the clouds added to the drama. Seeing the harbour bridge and the sea from Birkenhead is a real bonus of living here.

We have kereru that visit our water bath most days for a drink. We call this lovely girl ‘Allison’. She had a huge male friend we called ‘Woody’, but sadly he crashed into a window on a neighbours property and didn’t survive. Allison has a new friend now.
